Project name: Senegal silage baling and straw recycling project
Client: Large-scale farmer
Location: Senegal

Customer background and challenges

Customer background:

This customer operates on approximately 20,000 hectares of land, cultivating corn, forage crops, and grains, and also engages in large-scale livestock farming.

Customer challenges:

  • The existing equipment is outdated and inefficient.
  • The old silage baler machine can only process wet silage.
  • The large farm area requires equipment with high mobility and stability.

The customer wants to introduce the hay baler machine and the silage harvesting machine to achieve mechanised production from the field to the finished silage product. The The customer also requires the silage baling machine to be able to handle both wet and dry material

Equipment configuration plan

Based on the client’s needs and workload, we have configured the following equipment:

  1. Four TZ-55-52 hay baler machines(suitable for both wet and dry silage)
  2. Two 4JQH-200 corn silage harvesting machines

This combination enables integrated operation of straw collection, crushing, baling, and wrapping, meeting the high-intensity production needs of large-scale farms.

Project implementation results

After hay baler machines and straw harvesting machines were put into use, the farm’s silage production capacity significantly improved:

  • Silage production efficiency increased several times.
  • Straw recovery rate reached over 90%.
  • Labour costs and operating time were significantly reduced.
  • Continuous mechanised operation from the field to the silage was achieved.

Customers reported that the new equipment effectively solved the problems of straw handling and silage supply for large-scale farms, providing stable support for the long-term development of their ranches.
