Recently, our Corn Grits Milling Machine was successfully delivered to a leading food processing company in West Africa. The company specializes in corn grits, corn flour, and composite grain products.

As market demands became more diverse, the customer needed a high-efficiency, flexible machine capable of processing multiple grains to meet their evolving production needs.

Our solution not only significantly boosted their production efficiency but also enabled them to expand into new business areas, resulting in substantial cost savings and faster market response times.

Customer challenges

  1. Single-function equipment. The customer’s old equipment could only process corn and was unable to handle millet, sorghum, and other local grains.
  2. Imbalance in capacity and energy consumption. The old equipment had a corn grits output efficiency of only 50kg/h, while the corn flour production line required separate operation, leading to high energy costs.
  3. Fixed product specifications. The old equipment couldn’t adjust the particle size ratio of the finished product, making it difficult to meet the customized needs of food manufacturers for coarse/fine corn grits.
  4. Complex maintenance. The use of multiple machines resulted in frequent breakdowns, with maintenance costs accounting for over 8% of revenue.

Our solution

To address the customer’s needs, we provided the T1 Automatic Multi-Grain Processing Machine. Key technical innovations include:

  1. Dual motor coordination system. Equipped with a 7.5kW four-pole motor and a spindle speed of 1150r/min, the machine enables synchronous operation for corn peeling (350-450kg/h) and corn grits production (1000kg/h). The corn flour capacity can reach 350kg/h, increasing overall efficiency by three times.
  2. Multi-grain compatibility design. With interchangeable screen modules, the machine can seamlessly switch between processing corn, millet, rice, and sorghum, making it adaptable to the major grains used in West Africa.
  3. Dynamic output adjustment. The machine allows customers to freely adjust the output ratio of corn grits and corn flour (e.g., coarse grits:fine grits:flour = 6:3:1) to meet customized order requirements.
  4. Intelligent voltage stabilization protection. The equipment automatically adapts to voltage fluctuations of ±15% under a 380V rated voltage and is equipped with an overload emergency stop function to reduce the risk of equipment failure.

Customer feedback

Nana Ama, the technical manager in the company commented: “The T1 machine has completely transformed our production process. The dual motor design allows for simultaneous peeling and grits production, saving us 4 hours of operational time each day.

More importantly, the machine is flexible enough to process millet and sorghum, helping us tap into new customer markets.

The adjustable finished product ratio feature allows us to provide precise raw materials according to food manufacturers’ recipes, which gives us a strong competitive edge in the West African market.”
